Coach Kaplack

The Ohio Grays / OG Sports is owned and operated by Nick Kaplack.   Coach Kaplack has been coaching baseball for 29 years, serving as the Medina Head Coach for the greater part of those years.   He worked as the hitting coach at Tri-C and will be returning there for the 2026 season.     During his time at Medina he coached on the first 5 teams in school history that made it to the regionals, being the head coach for 4 of those teams.   This was prior to division one moving from 200 to 60 teams.   During his tenure at Tri-C the Triceratops hitters led the nation in fewest strikeouts as well as being in the top 4 for batting average.   Coach Kaplack can analyze a swing in minutes and provide athletes with positive feedback and drills to fix most flaws.    Mr. Kaplack is a Biology and AP Environmental Science teacher at Medina High School.   He resides in Medina with his wife Tara, and 3 boys.
